With bittersweet emotions, we are sharing our first single, finally here on Spotify.

In memory of our lead singer and dear friend, Eric F**k Beng Liang (1971-2024). We know he would be proud that this song, which was recorded in April, is finally released for streaming. We celebrate his life with his final work, and hope it brings you comfort and joy in knowing that his voice will be here for eternity.

Remembering Eric as a bassist for GAND 幹樂團. Gone but not forgotten.

It is with extreme sadness that we announce the untimely passing of our founding member and lead singer of theRubberbands, Eric. This is an utterly devastating news, given the circumstances Eric abruptly passed away on the day we were scheduled to release our first single on streaming platforms. Eric spent the last few months excitedly planning the comeback of theRubberbands, one he would never live to witness. While we are extremely saddened by his departure, we are eternally grateful to have had him in our lives and in our band. theRubberbands mean so much to him, and we will find a way to carry on his legacy so that his music continues to touch many souls.

RIP Eric. You will be deeply missed.
