Honda Civic FL5 Type R check in……

Gearbox casing cracking" is the exact catastrophic issue that happens when the FL5 Civic Type R final shaft nut backs off.

The Honda factory is not properly locked down with high-strength threadlocker, it spins loose under high RPMs and vibrations. Because there is very tight clearance inside the manual transmission housing, the loosening nut physically backs out directly into the aluminum gearbox casing, striking and cracking it.

Before going happen we need to open the gear box casing to check or retightened with loctite….
