Blue-banded Pitta
One of Borneo’s most striking forest birds.

With its vivid blue band and calm presence, this ground-dwelling bird is often heard before it is seen.

Preferring dense, undisturbed rainforest, the Blue-banded Pitta moves quietly along the forest floor, relying on camouflage rather than flight.

Among bird enthusiasts, it has earned the nickname “The Jewel Of Borneo”.
