Sabah Traditional Cooking Class

These are special group of friends from Netherlands and Belgium that met up especially for tour in Borneo. They requested to learn sweet & sour chicken, sayur lodeh which is local mix vege cooked in coconut milk, fried rice noodles, sambal belacan and we also did fried squids.

They really enjoyed cooking together and learning the new dishes. Everyone needs to do the hands on cooking and prepare the ingredients. The dishes tasted so good especially because everything were fresh from the market.

Starting from getting your ingredients at the local market, explore the vast variety of fresh ingredients probably something you have never seen or even tasted before.

When done shopping and mingle with the friendly locals, then head on to our humble home to meet your "cook of the day" Halimah who has experienced meeting and teaching our guests for the past 13 years from all around the world.

We have our own recommendation menu for cooking but if ever you would like to learn something specific we are really flexible.

After all the hands on cooking, we sit together and feast to all the local menu that you cooked or the ones we served. Sharing stories and experience from around the world have been the most joyful thing that we sometimes don't even realise that time passed by.
