Last weekend, the Merdeka 118 precinct offered a first glimpse into one of our upcoming cultural landmarks — the Merdeka Textile Museum (MTM).

_The Making of MTM_ marked the museum’s first public programme, bringing together the voices behind its creation for an intimate afternoon of sharing and connection.

From the research and curation of the Azah Aziz Collection to the museum’s architectural vision, exhibition design, and sensory storytelling, guests were taken behind the scenes of the ideas, inspirations, and work shaping the museum experience.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this special afternoon and for being part of the journey towards bringing MTM to life.
