After almost 20 years, BORDERS Bookstore will officially cease operations in Malaysia on 31 August.

Originally birthed from the American multinational book and music retailer, Borders Group, the bookstore chain made its way to Malaysia back in 2005.

In a statement by Berjaya Books Sdn Bhd, the management of BORDERS Malaysia thanked customers for supporting their store over the years.

"We are truly grateful for the trust and loyalty you have shown us and we would not have been able to come this far without you.”
