He is also served as a visiting lecturer at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM） and was an HonaryIndustry Fellow at USM from 2021 to 2022. The National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD), USA, awarded him the 2023 Young Investigator Travel Fellowship.

He is a councillor on the IDDSI Board of Directors. He do researches on texture-modified foods and drinks and has designed miniature devices to measure the properties of foods and drinks.
