On 2 March, we gathered with colleagues and friends for a Buka Puasa potluck at Rumah Mandiri.

Organised together with SIS, Mandiri and SUARAM, the evening was a chance to reconnect and share a meal in good company.

May this Ramadan continue to remind us of the value of community and care for one another.

Strategic Litigation Training Camp on the Death Penalty for Young Lawyers
6–8 February 2026

Over three intensive days, young lawyers explored strategic litigation in the context of the death penalty, covering international human rights standards, developments in Malaysia, defence strategies under the KL Guidelines, and public advocacy, among many others. The camp concluded with a moot court exercise where participants strengthened their arguments and reflected on how the law can be used to challenge injustice.

Thank you to all our trainers for sharing your time and knowledge, and to all participants for your focus and dedication throughout the camp. We hope this experience helps us collectively push forward the movement to abolish the death penalty in Malaysia.
