Unplug

The most common thing we hear is -
“But it’s expensive.”

Or sometimes,
“For that price, I can buy three elsewhere.”

And that’s exactly how most of us have been taught to think.
More pieces.
More choices.
More shopping bags.
More value.

When something is cheap and easily available, buying more feels like we’re winning.

But somewhere along the way, we’ve stopped asking:
“Do I actually need three?”
Because the truth is, every item has a cost beyond the price tag.
The water used to make it.
The resources extracted to produce it.
The packaging, transport, returns, and eventually, the waste.

The cheaper option often feels affordable because many of those costs are simply moved somewhere else.

Out of sight.
Out of the receipt.
Out of the conversation.

We’ve become so used to abundance that buying less can feel uncomfortable.

One good shirt instead of three.
One well-made item instead of several replacements.
One thoughtful purchase instead of an impulse buy.
Sustainable products aren’t expensive because they’re luxury. Often, they’re expensive because they’re trying to account for costs that have long been ignored.

The real question isn’t-
“Why does this cost more?”
It’s:
“Why does the other one cost so little?”
Sometimes the cheapest thing we can buy ends up costing the most.
