👩‍🏫 Harvard psychologist Lisa Feldman Barrett has identified seven parenting rules to help your kid build a brain that is flexible and therefore resilient. Here are the seven rules:

1. 🌱 Be a gardener, not a carpenter.
2. 🗣️ Talk and read to your child. A lot.
3. 🤔 Explain things.
4. 🏋️‍♀️ Describe the activity, not the person.
5. 👥 Help your children to copy you.
6. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Expose children (safely) to lots of people.
7. 👏 Applaud agency.
