𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐭 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐢 𝐌𝐚𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐌𝐏𝐏 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐫

10 July 2026 (Friday) – The Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) conducted a walkabout and inspection at Sungai Maong Market, 3rd Mile, together with MPP Resident Councillor, Cr. Alvin Chong, to inspect the condition of the drainage system as well as the overall cleanliness of the wet market and the surrounding shop lots.

During the walkabout, Cr. Alvin Chong engaged with members of the local community, including business owners and members of the public, to better understand the issues faced in the area. He also observed that several drains required clearing and noted instances of illegal dumping.

Cr. Alvin Chong instructed MPP officers to carry out the necessary follow-up actions immediately.

MPP would like to urge traders, visitors, and members of the public to dispose of their waste responsibly and work together to keep Padawan clean, safe, and sustainable for everyone.
