We are group of musicians, sound engineers and entertainers that organise music events in Kuching to provide a platform for local musicians in Malaysia.

On a hot day sometime in December of the year 2016, Timbre was born out of the 3rd floor of HAUS KCH.
It was the availability of such a space for grassroot musicians that drew our co-founders together, allowing so much magic to come out of our humble unit. The moon was the limit for us. 🌕
Today, we may no longer be physically present in HAUS, but it has become a reminder of a lot of beautiful things that we hold dear in our heart.
That same spirit of creativity now runs through the walls of this new building. Do you dare to take up the mantle?
SPACES FOR RENT! | Looking for a work studio or office? We've got good news! At only RM500 / month, you get your own air-conditioned space. Alternatively, you get a special deal of RM5,000 / year if you pay in lump sum—yes, that's 2 months' worth of discount! Our Story
“Timbre” is a group consisting of different people with different characteristics who are passionate about music. All of us have different professions which are a part of the music industry such as singers, guitarists, sound engineers and entertainers. Coincidentally, the definition of “Timbre” in music theory is the characteristic of sound, so the name represents us as a collective of different people with different characteristics coming together for this cause.
We will be focusing on a music space in H.A.U.S. which has a few facilities such as a rehearsal space, a recording room, and an intimate live space. We will not only focus on music, but also the opportunity to collaborate with other arts to create special events where music combines and synergizes with other arts like visual arts, woodcraft or dance.
