Welcome to Ecopro Training Centre (ETC), Kg Nesam Perlis,
a place where you can:

Open for volunteers, interns, trainings, research, and community engagement for those who want to learn from the University of Life -the Nature itself!

Our goal is to enhance knowledge sharing and train any interested community , academics, industry, institution and organization who wants to be the change they want to see in the world. We offer ecologically integrated ways to restore damaged ecosystem and design with Nature through appreciation of Ecosystem Services, Ecosystem Design & Restoration alligned with the declaration of UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration 2021-2030.

ETC@Kebun Abi used to be grown with conventional chemical-based paddy but redesigned into Organic Paddy using System of Rice Intensification (SRI) method. We also integrate with other nature based designs and methods including Permaculture and simple green technology since 2017.

We also grow organic animal feed such as Black Soldier Fly Larvae and Azolla. We get help from ducks and geese as mobile fertilisers and protect our farm from pests such as Siput Gondang to ensure a balanced ecosystem.

ETC is led by Dr M Hakimi Ibrahim formerly a professor at Environmental Technology Programme, School of Industrial Technology, Universiti Sains Malaysia. Local Knowledge and Scientific Knowledge specifically in relation to Environmental and Ecoprocess Technology are being applied at ETC.

We hope to be the bridge between the community, educational institutions and non governmental organisations to work together with Nature.
