The Penang ATE Campus Steering Committee had a productive presentation and discussion session yesterday at Menara MITI, Kuala Lumpur, with representatives from Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry, Malaysia, Malaysian Investment Development Authority - MIDA, Kementerian Kewangan and Kementerian Ekonomi. The meeting was co-chaired by YB Sim Tze Tzin 沈志勤 and YB Liew Chin Tong.

During the session, we presented the Penang ATE Campus initiative, including its policy recommendations, KPIs, and proposed budget framework. Discussions focused on localization opportunities for local ATE ecosystem, funding structures, and supporting policy mechanisms to strengthen industry development.

A sincere thank you to both Deputy Ministers for co-chairing the meeting, and to all representatives from the various agencies for the constructive discussions and collaborative spirit in shaping the way forward for this important initiative.
