5 Excellence Tracks Programme UTM

Congratulations to 5ETP students, Oscar Ling, Tan Jun Jie along with their teammate Hoh Jia Da (Universiti Putra Malaysia) and Ng Kha Yun (Nanyang Technological University) for emerging as the First Runner-up of the Corporate Insight & Empowerment (CIE) 7.0! The team took home RM 4,000 cash prize after competing with 164 individuals (42 teams) during the final round held virtually on zoom.

In this competition, participants conducted an in-depth case study on the given task and submitted a proposal that contains vital elements such as financial, business model, stake-holder analysis, crisis management, competitor analysis, SWOT analysis, Go-to-market strategies and communication plan.

The final judges composed of business leaders and professionals representing various fields and industries were invited to evaluate the performance of the contestants. In the final round, they were Janice Low, the Assistant VP of talent acquisition and workplace futurisation from Maybank Malaysia; Kenneth Z Tan, Head of HR centre of excellence from Shopee Malaysia and Lin Sin Han, Director of Advisory from BDO.
