If you’re wondering why some cars last longer than others and have less issues, it’s all about routine. Something as simple as a routine oil change can make a big difference in the long run. It might not seem like a big deal at the time. But you will see the effects of delaying oil changes later on.

Oils of any kind, tend to break down either over time, or the amount of usage. Which is why manufacturers recommend to do an oil change every 10,000km or 12 months (For fully synthetic), whichever comes first. This is to ensure the oils provide proper lubrication and protection. Once you go past that limit, you might be doing more harm and spending more money than you think.

So why risk damaging something you’ve already invested in? Keeping up with proper oil changes, not only feels better when driving, but will also save you from spending on costly repairs down the road.
