ODEDA AREA COMMANDER VISITS MAWUKO DIVISION, LAYS FOUNDATION FOR NEW ALAAGBA POST OFFICE

In a significant move aimed at strengthening community policing and operational effectiveness, the Area Commander of Odeda Area Command, ACC Ogunseye A.B, on Friday, 27th March 2026, paid an official working visit to Mawuko Division, where he also performed the foundation-laying ceremony for a new office building at Alaagba Post under the Division.

The visit was marked by strategic engagements, inspection activities, and discussions focused on enhancing discipline, improving attendance at meetings, and promoting professional development within the command structure.

During his address, ACC Ogunseye A.B emphasized the importance of discipline among members, describing it as a core pillar of effective service delivery, unity, and organizational progress. He urged all officers and personnel within the Division to uphold the highest standards of conduct, professionalism, and commitment in the discharge of their duties.

The Area Commander also stressed the advantages of regular participation in meetings at the Area Command, noting that such gatherings provide opportunities for information sharing, coordination, improved decision-making, and collective growth. He encouraged members to take meetings seriously and to see them as an avenue for strengthening collaboration and operational efficiency.

As part of the visit, attention was also drawn to the ranking exercise within the Division, which was described as an important process in maintaining structure, order, and recognition of responsibilities among personnel. The exercise, according to stakeholders, is expected to further boost morale and reinforce the command’s administrative and operational framework.

Another notable aspect of the visit was the call to ensure greater inclusion and recognition of the Divisional Officer, SC Adeoye Adekunle (popularly known as Iso), whose contributions to the Division were acknowledged as deserving of proper mention and appreciation in divisional affairs and official engagements.

The foundation-laying of the new office at Alaagba Post was seen as a landmark development for the Division, symbolizing progress in infrastructural expansion and a commitment to providing a more conducive working environment for officers and improved service delivery to the community.

Stakeholders and members present at the event commended the Area Commander for his leadership, vision, and dedication to the growth of the Division, describing the visit as timely, impactful, and inspiring.
