SOCIAL MEDIUM- A TRUE MASS MEDIUM?
Certain academic forces question the validity of social media as true media of mass communication. Reasons are based on low credibility, accessibility, affordability, & message reach.
But social media are becoming highly credible as we can verify news through link & references. Findings showed that social media is not less accessible than radio, TV & Newspapers. They are more affordable compare to buying newspapers & subscribing on pay TV. And social media content have a wider reach across border compare to radio frequencies, newspapers & local TV.
Are social media still not qualified as true mass media? Let's debate.

Notably, the rate at which HND2 (MAPOLY)students were hurried to NYSC this year, with the little time for exam, was unprecedented. And they were left to conclude their final project and defence between a week after exam, as a matter of do it or carry over/ or no NYSC. Then our dexterity to write research project and teach those who don't know was proven. Many HND2 have us to thank for the timely completion of their final research project. Just in the same way, many graduates who could not secure job for 5 years are becoming employers of labour, through the fascinating business proposals we wrote for them which won them the sponsorship that changed their lives. Some others who cannot secure admission have secured a pre-institution ICT knowledge for themselves, through the thorough computer training that we afford them. And parents have us to thank for that. Academic counselling and problem resolution is another area that we are incomparable.
Knowing what to do is as important as knowing how to do it. Maintaining your admission in good grades is as important as securing that admission. Share your academic challenges and you be glad that you ever did.
