🎤 Clipse Dropped by Def Jam Over Kendrick Lamar Verse! 🔥

Hip-hop drama is reaching new heights! The legendary duo Clipse has officially parted ways with Def Jam Records after the label demanded they remove a Kendrick Lamar verse from their upcoming album Let God Sort Em Out. 😳

In an interview with GQ, Pusha T explained that Def Jam wanted Kendrick’s verse on the track “Chains & Whips” to be censored — or cut altogether. Pusha refused.

“They wanted me to ask Kendrick to censor his verse… and then they wanted me to take the record off. After a month of saying no, the label’s lawyer said, ‘We’ll just drop the Clipse,’” he revealed.
🤯 Why the pressure? Insiders say Def Jam (under the UMG umbrella) was worried about the optics of two of Drake’s biggest rivals teaming up during his ongoing legal battle with the company.

But Clipse weren’t backing down. They walked — and signed with Roc Nation instead. Now, their long-awaited reunion album Let God Sort Em Out drops July 11, and it's executive produced by none other than Pharrell Williams. 🐐

🎥 The announcement came via a cinematic trailer featuring studio footage, cultural icons like Mike Tyson, Slick Rick, and a surprise voice cameo from Marge Simpson. The album was recorded at Louis Vuitton HQ in Paris, with cover art designed by KAWS.
