Today, we pause to honour a leader who doesn't just lead from the front — she grows from within.
Ijeoma has officially graduated from a Trauma-Informed Training Session, and at AWLPOF, we believe this is not just a personal milestone. It is a gift to every widow, single mother, and vulnerable woman who walks through our doors.
Here's why this matters deeply:
The women we serve at AWLPOF have known loss — of husbands, of income, of safety, of dignity. Many carry invisible wounds that no food package or scholarship can fully reach. A trauma-informed leader understands this. She doesn't just ask "what is wrong with you?" — she asks "what happened to you?"
That shift in question changes everything.
It changes how we listen. How we design our programmes. How we hold space during our annual widow conferences. How we show up — not just as service providers, but as healers of community.
Ijeoma has always led with her heart. Now she leads with tools to match.
We are proud. We are grateful. And our community is safer because of it.
