Hey everyone, friends/mentees.

As we keeping moving in 2025, I want to share something that has been on my mind: the importance of being intentional about the company we keep. The saying, “Show me your friends and I will show you your future,” holds a lot of truth. The people we surround ourselves with can significantly influence our lives, our mindset, and ultimately, our success.

Why Does This Matter? In this new year, if you want to experience a shift in your life, you must be deliberate about your associations. Ask yourself: Are my friends and the groups I belong to uplifting me? Are they pushing me towards my goals, or are they holding me back?

We live in a time where it’s easy to get caught up in meaningless connections—joining groups or hanging out with people who don’t share our vision or values. I want to remind you that it’s better to be a Lone Ranger than to be surrounded by time wasters and negative influences.

Avoiding the Wrong Associations!

You Must Identify Your Values. Know what you stand for and what you want to achieve. This clarity will help you choose friends who align with your aspirations.

Be Selective:
Don’t be afraid to distance yourself from those who drain your energy or distract you from your goals. It’s okay to outgrow certain relationships.

Seek Growth-Minded People: Surround yourself with individuals who inspire you, challenge you, and support your dreams. These are the friends who will help propel you forward.

The Power of Meaningful Connections

I have seen what quality friends and circle have done and i have also experienced the misfortunes that comes with the wrong circle and friendships. This year there are some useless contacts and numbers you must delete from your phone to save new contacts of people who are going the same direction with you, it doesn’t matter how long you have known them , “20 children can’t play together for 20 years”.

Remember, it’s not about the quantity of friends but the quality of your relationships. Invest your time and energy in people who are committed to growth and success—people who will encourage you to be the best version of yourself.

As we step continue to utilize each day of 2025, let’s be intentional about our associations. Choose wisely, and don’t hesitate to walk away from connections that don’t serve your purpose. Your future is too important to be compromised by the company you keep.
