HOW JOY OF SALVATION SAFEGUARDS YOU

… my brothers, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things again is no trouble to me, and it is a safeguard for you.
Philippians 3:1 LSB

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice!
Philippians 4:4 LSB

Therefore you will joyously draw water From the springs of salvation.
Isaiah 12:3 LSB

Many are the sorrows of the wicked,
But he who trusts in the Lord, lovingkindness shall surround him.
Be glad in the Lord and rejoice, you righteous ones;
And shout for joy, all you who are upright in heart.

Then he said to them, “Go, eat of the fat, drink of the sweet, and send portions to him who has nothing prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not be grieved, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
— Nehemiah 8:10

Apostle Paul, by the Holy Spirit, had indepth insight into the prophecies of old how they were referring greatly to what we would enjoy in the life of the Messiah. When he started to show believers the importance of being joyful in the LORD it appeared to some people a strange teaching.

The apostle's emphasis was the fact that rejoicing in the LORD is safeguarding the believers' lives on every sphere. He didn't have to tell of the things that you can lay your hands on so to rejoice in the LORD. But that you should excite yourself to joy because you are in the Lord Christ. The safeguard to this is it works out all forms of salvation.

Rejoicing in the LORD is the art of drawing water from the springs of salvation. It automatically detects the areas of your immediate needs, and responds adequately. That's why Nehemiah prophesied that the joy of the LORD as our strength. So Paul said it's no pain to keep telling this to believers to rejoice in the LORD for it is beneficial on all sides.

Just excite yourself to joy because you are in Christ, and the springs of salvation will begin to water your life. Joy is a huge key to becoming the blessed of the LORD. Hallelujah!

Don't wait for external forces that would cause you to rejoice in the LORD, but irrespective of whatever situation, go on to rejoice in the LORD. Amen.

THE REALITY OF THE FAITH OF JESUS

“Blessed is the man who trusts in Yahweh And whose trust is Yahweh.
Jeremiah 17:7 LSB

And on the basis of faith in His name, it is His name, Jesus, which has strengthened this man whom you see and know; and the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect health in the presence of you all.
Acts 3:16

She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.” Now all this happened to fulfill what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet: “Behold, the virgin shall be with child and shall bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which translated means, “God with us.”
Matthew 1:21-23

The LORD has said that the mouths of two or three witnesses speaking in unison on the same truth of the gospel prophetically. By the mouths of God's apostle, angel and prophet, the same thing was revealed by the LORD, the faith that we profess.

Jeremiah first had it in the prophetic oracles about what believing God. It's both an act and an object to be possessed. Speaking of Himself, the LORD said that He should be believed and He also should be the Belief.

Depending on God and at same time He be your Dependence. By the prophet Isaiah, God called for His people to the declaration of dependence as our faith. Many people don't know that the faith of Jesus is a declaration of reliance on God through the Messiah He gave.

His name, Jesus, He will save His people, shows the working of the faith that we are called to be. Jesus is our faith. He is what we believe that results in whatever we desire from God. He is our faith because, He's Immanuel, "God with us." He is both an act and an object for possession.

This is how the prophet expressed it - “'Listen to Me, O house of Jacob, And all the remnant of the house of Israel,
You who have been borne by Me from birth. And have been carried from the womb; even to your old age I will be the same, and even to your graying years I will bear you! I have done it, and I will carry you; and I will bear you and I will deliver you'" (Isaiah 46:3-4).

This is what we refer to as the faith of God, the faith of Jesus. Dependence on God with us is both action and inheritance. We possess God for al He is for the man He created in His image and likeness. That is what our faith is and stands for.

Jesus who is the LORD, Yahweh, is our faith! Develop this into a saving reality…
