Sammy, the elder brother of Nollywood star Regina Daniels 🇳🇬, has finally been released by the court — without being sent back to her husband Ned Nwoko 👏🏽🙌🏽

After spending over 7 days in detention and facing blackmail, Sammy—who was allegedly imprisoned by Ned Nwoko—has now regained his freedom.

His release came after the strong intervention of actress Mercy Johnson, along with the help of several high-ranking authorities who stepped in beyond Ned Nwoko’s influence. The court ruled that the charges of illegal substance use against Sammy could not be upheld, as the court handling the case was deemed incompetent to prosecute.

According to reports, Rita Daniels, Regina’s mother, was all smiles as she thanked the ancestors and the gods for this first victory. 🙌🏽🥹
Although Regina refused to give in to Ned Nwoko’s alleged threats and blackmail, he still has custody of their children and reportedly vowed to go after her family, including her brothers and mother. 🙆🏽‍♂️
