Every time I come online and see the story of this woman, her daughter, and her husband who was a pastor… my heart breaks all over again. They paid the ransom, they did everything they were asked to do, yet he was still killed. How do you even begin to process that kind of cruelty?

I can’t stop thinking about her… A mother, watching her child go through this horror with her, and now mourning a husband she didn’t even get the chance to bury. The weight of that pain is unimaginable.

It’s too sad. Too heavy. Too unfair.
And it leaves me asking: where do we even go from here? How do we keep living in a country where stories like this keep repeating themselves?

My heart is shattered. This is not good at all.
We deserve better. Families deserve better. Humanity deserves better.
