As part of preparations for the upcoming Women Entrepreneurial Skills Development (WESD) Program, a team from ODPMNigeria paid a visit to Ammasco Radio Kano to discuss the project and its expected impact on women across our communities.

The organization was represented by Abubakar Junaidu Binoni and Umar Kabir Bello, who participated in a recorded discussion on the WESD initiative. The discussion focused on the objectives of the project, the opportunities it offers women, and its role in promoting entrepreneurship and economic empowerment.

Empowering women is central to fostering sustainable community development and economic resilience.
Across many grassroots communities, a significant barrier to economic growth remains: the limited access to practical, income-generating skills and foundational business resources.
This gap directly affects financial independence and limits the potential of women to contribute fully to the local economy.
To address this challenge, the Organization for Development and Political Matrix (ODPM Nigeria) is launching the Women Entrepreneurial Skills Development Program.

The Objective:
This initiative is strategically designed to equip selected women with viable, small-scale production skills and essential business management training. The ultimate goal is to reduce poverty, promote self-reliance, and support the establishment of sustainable small businesses.

Structure:
Participants will receive hands-on training, quality control insights, and packaging strategies in four key manufacturing areas:
-Car Wash (Liquid Soap Production)
-Vaseline (Petroleum Jelly Production)
-Man Kitso (Hair Oil Production)
-Humrah (Perfume Production)

Upon successful completion, all participants will be awarded a Certificate of Completion duly recognized by ODPMNigeria and its partners, providing them with the credentials to confidently launch their enterprises.

By investing in practical skills, we are building a foundation for financial independence and community growth.
