These four security officials in the Nigeria Police Force and the DSS have been identified in reports alleging involvement in actions targeting the life and safety of activist Omoyele Sowore

It has now emerged that one of them, Commissioner of Police Akin Fakorede, arrived in Abuja unofficially on June 11 to handle matters connected to his former boss, former illegal Inspector-General of Police Kayode Egbetokun.

Sources further allege that Fakorede had prior knowledge of the chemical-laced tear gas deployed against Sowore during the June 12 protest in Abuja, an incident that left him struggling to breathe and nearly cost him his life.

It is also alleged that Fakorede later celebrated the operation and commended the officer, an AC in charge of operations from the FCT police command who supervised and ordered the deployment of the deadly substance.

We heard they have other plans, but they won’t go unpunished.
