APC National Chairman Prof. Nentewe Yilwatda has assured legacy members that politicians defecting to the party will not be allowed to hijack leadership structures. He said the party recognizes and values those who built it from inception, and will protect their positions against newcomers seeking quick influence.

Yilwatda noted that while the APC welcomes new entrants, loyalty and sacrifice must determine who leads at all levels. He urged founding members to remain calm and committed, stressing that the party’s constitution and internal processes will be followed strictly to prevent a takeover by recent defectors.
