From Ota, Ogun State, to earning the highest academic qualification in Chemistry, Dr. Omotola Eniodunmo has achieved a remarkable milestone.

Omotola recently earned her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemistry from North Dakota State University, with a doctoral thesis titled, “Electronic Structure Studies of Non-Stoichiometric Quantum Dots.”

After five years of dedication, research, perseverance, and faith, she was officially hooded and conferred with her doctorate degree, becoming the first PhD holder in her family.

Reflecting on her journey, she described herself as “just a girl from Ota, Ogun State” who entrusted her affairs to God and remained committed to her dreams. Today, her achievement stands as a powerful reminder that background does not determine destiny, and that barriers can indeed be broken.
