I have discovered this trend recently.

I work with an NGO and before our beneficiaries are empowered financially, my boss asks me to give them 2 weeks intensive Business training .

After the training, they are supposed to kick of running their businesses. It is spelt out that the money given them is seed money and should not be used for personal needs (that's our policy, we teach you to "fish" and then buy you equipment to do it yourself). From "fishing" you Can comfortably meet your other needs.

After a few months, I go to their walls and all I see are shared posts of people they are expecting to hand them give aways. Some times up to 7-10 posts a day and nothing about your business is there.

Even when you were taught how to use your social media to market your products .

I have come to the conclusion that some people just want hand downs.

No, they don't want you to establish a business for them; they don't want to work it out.
Neither do they want you to give then a job, stress too much
They are entitled.

All they want is for you to keep giving them hand downs (They believe you have it so you are supposed to give it). This discourages the givers and also blocks the road for those who would have genuinely used that money to give themselves a better lease of life.

Whoops!!! What a thesis.

Some days you will be so unmotivated that you do not want to stand up from bed.

It's OK. Take some time to rest, re-strategize and shoot better.

Don't remain down. Keep your goals in view.

I just thought to share with you something that has helped me tremendously in life.

ADEQUATE PLANNING. Infact, I think I plan too much, if there's something like that.
I write my GOAL or big picture down and then also write down the little steps that will take me to that goal.

It might take me a month or 10 months to get there. It might also take years, but because I have a road map, I can easily go back and tick off the steps that I have taken and that which remains.

This help you not to follow the crowd just because everybody is doing it.

Someone will ask, what if God leads you otherwise?

Well,
In my walk with God, I have come to a point where even if I have dotted all the I's and crossed all the T's; I still know that God's Will is final.
And when he shows me where He is leading me, I shift my plans to that direction knowing that with His leading I CANNOT FAIL.

I hope this helps you. Don't just fold your hands and wish. Make plans, pray about them and walk towards them. Happy Thursday.
