Dear Beloved in Christ,

The readings today remind us that everything we own is a trust from God. Amos warns against trampling on the poor and cheating others, while Jesus in the Gospel shows us that, like the steward, one day we will all render an account of our stewardship before God. The steward was not praised for his dishonesty, but for his foresight in preparing for the future...

Sadly, many people prepare diligently for business, career, or wealth, but neglect their eternal destiny. Jesus makes it clear: “You cannot serve God and mammon.” Money, power, or position must never take God’s place in our lives. True wisdom is using the goods of this world to help others, to grow in holiness, and to prepare for eternal life...

As Christians, God calls us to live with preparation, sacrifice, and faithfulness...

May we live as wise and faithful stewards so that when our account is called, we may be welcomed into God’s eternal home. Amen.
