The Commissioner for Lands and Survey, Barr. (Mrs) Kate Onianwa following a matching order from the State Govt. has demolished an illegal structure on Chiagozie Street off DLA Road, Asaba, the State Capital.

According to the Commissioner, the demolition was carried out to prevent the attempt of the developer to block an access road that served as an alternative route to road users at the instance of a heavy traffic on the DLA Road.

The Commissioner was accompanied on the exercise by some Officials of the Town Planning Department in the Ministry and Members of the Operation Show Your Building Plan Taskforce.

You will recall that the Operation Show Your Building Plan Taskforce was constituted to educate the public on the relevance of obtaining permits before embarking on any building project as well as enforce compliance.
