I look up deeply at the school signpost after my father woke me up from some hours of sleep. I was surprised to see the name written down My Last Day On Earth.

'Dad!!' I called out with a scared tone. I don't understand if my father is not seeing what I'm seeing because I'm confused about the name of the school.

"What's wrong, Dora?" He asked and alight the car.

"This the best school so far and remember, me and your mom choose the best for you." He opened the boot and brought out my belongings.

"Dad, i can't attend this school, check the name, it's very scary," i said and point my finger at The signpost.

He stared at the signpost surprisingly and burst out a peal of great laughter. "Daughter, there's nothing wrong with the school name just calm-down everything is canna be fine."

He handout my suitcase to me and walked into the school compound with my other belongings.

I walked slowly past the gate, the gateman held an old newspaper in his hand which prevent me from seeing his face.

He folded the newspaper and gave me a welcome smile, i was unable to smile back at him, so i just hurried up and get closer to my father.

"Dad I'm scared," i said with a low tone, walking beside him.

"Don't be scared, it's just your first day here with time you will love it more than every other student." He patted me and walked into the room that was indicated at the top principal office.

I waited outside with my suitcase, different students were passing with their books. The school environment was nice, not looking terrible as imagine in my head.

"Dora, your attention is needed here." My dad called out with a fatherly tone.

I walked inside the office, and i was given some documents to sign by the principal, after reading, it was the school terms and conditions

I signed the documents.

the school uniform was given to me, he dragged out the cupboard and He dip his hand.

"This is your room keys." He handed out the keys to me. I took it politely from him with a lot of questions in my mind.

"Don't worry, he will assist you there," he pointed at someone beside him.

"Dora, don't be sad. Me and your mother will come back for you," he hugged me with tears leaving his eyes before i left with the person assisting me to my new room.

He assist me room, the students were just staring at me as i walked past them.

I know I'm new a student in the school but their look tell me how they felt sad for me.

Their look remember me of what happened in my dream.

"This your room," he said and left me there.

I unlocked the door and stepped in, i closed the door with a shivering hand.

i turned on the room bulb when i noticed my leg was inside a liquid.

There was a writing on the floor with blóòd.

I opened the door a bit wide expecting to see someone standing at the entrance but i was shocked to see no one standing before me.

I looked at the left part of the corridor to confirm if anyone knocked and ran away but non was there, same to the right end.

I closed the door and tilt my body.

My heart beat slowly but fast, i closed my eyes to calm down my brain cause it was too much in my head.

I opened my eyes.

The torchlight flickered for some seconds and turn off completely, the room became very dark as the light go off. I was very scared inside the room, a lot of crazy thoughts rang in my head.

My mouth open wide with my eyes close.

My lips were trembled and my body shivered.

I felt a rough hand moving on my skin, I opened my eyes in astonishment and terrified.

my glittered eyes captured two angry white spots staring at me from afar. It was an unknown person wearing a black long garment.

I grabbed the door handle with my trembling hands, i was unable to open the door due to how scared i was.

The angry eyes were just there looking at me.

I turn around to open the door but it bolded itself twice. I turned back, the eyes were moving closer to me very slowly without stopping.

I screamed and hit the wooden door like never before expecting help but nobody come for my saving.

The unknown person was still moving closer, it stopped and brought out a bláde, its hand was covered with red liquid,

the liquid dripped down on the bláde and drop on the floor.

No matter how i shout and hit the door, the unknown person with the bláde did not stop walking closer to me.

He lift the bláde and smile at me bitterly.

"Please don't kill me, I'm a new student here," i begged with téars leaving my eyes.

He stopped and grab me by the neck, the red liquid was still dropping from his hand.

He pressed my neck so hard, I was unable to breathe freely.

"Don't think of running, Dora,i will be waiting for you inside this same hostel", he whispered into my ear.

I felt a tap on my shoulder, i opened my eyes.

It was my dad. I was just sleeping all this while.

"Welcome to your new school, Dora". He said pointing at the school gate.

I looked up at the signpost for the name of the school, it was written clearly welcome to my last day on earth.

THE HOSTEL (2)

I picked up the book on the floor and flung it open, i was scared to see the welcoming letter written down boldly for me.

I point the torchlight in my hand in different direction to confirm if there was anybody inside the house with me but there was none.

I took a deeper breath and closed the book i found on the floor and dropped it on the bed.

Maybe it was just my first time spending a night in the boarding school that cause all this to me, I need to grow up and be strong like every other kid.

The room grow chilled and gloomy even with The brightness of the torch inside the room.

The wooden brown chair with a round end, which was provided to me by the school management for reading purpose.

Pushed forward and backward as if someone occupied it.

I was surprised about what was going on in the room, i shrugged my head and focused on the chair as it was moving forward and backward slowly.

I stood up sadly from the bunk without taking the torchlight with me, Each step i took closer to the chair was like a big rock tied to my legs.

My hand shivered, and my legs trembled.

I was scared to touch the moving chair cause it was like someone occupied it.

I gathered some strength and held the chair, i stared at it deeply, to my greatest surprise no one was sitting on the chair.

I pushed the chair to be sure but it was not moving like before, i stood there wondering if I'm physically okay or not cause i don't understand anything that was going on in the room again.

Fear gripped my heart but i still managed to act properly. I slammed my two palms together and the sound echoed in the room and stop within a minute.

I turned around slowly, very disappointed and sad. Heading back to the bunk.

A strong breeze touches my skin. I heard a knock coming from the door, it wasn't just a knock it came repeatedly. The knock will just come once and waited for a second before hitting the wooden door again.

"Who's there?" i hollered as I walked closer to the door expecting someone to responded to me with his or her name.

After some seconds of waiting, there was none.

I placed my palm on the handle and with different thoughts going on in my mind.

I opened the door gently and a bit wide, there was no one at the entrance.

The Hostel

Part 1

My father removed me from my old school and got me admitted into a boarding school due to their new business, claiming they will be traveling for a long time.

I was admitted to the school like every other student but the problem i have when I arrived at the school compound was with their hostel.

Available hostels in the school were occupied by other students, instead of me quitting the term, the school decided to open the abandoned hostel for me.

The school cleaner assist in cleaning the hostel. It was littered with trash and cobwebs were glued to every angle of the hotel.

The bunk bed was already covered with dust, it clearly stated to me that it's been a long time the hostel had been in use.

The floor was mop by the school cleaner and the beauty of the hostel returned after the good work.

My belongings were shifted into the hostel.

Every student in the school were just gaping at me without telling me any reason behind their surprised

Since it was already night i enter the hostel and closed the door beside me.

The hostel was brightened by an electric bulb, two bunk was separate from each other one at the left while the other was positioned at the right.

I sat on the right bunk, picked up the school rules and regulations, and go through it silently.

While going through the book, my instincts alert me about someone looking at me.

I lift my face and no one was doing that, i laughed at myself because i know i was already scared

It was already sleeping hour, the school switch off the lights, i dropped the book and laid my body on the bed.

I closed my eyes waiting for sleep to take over my spirit, due to how dark the room was, it was like someone was staring at me again in the room.

I kept my eyes closed and dozed off without knowing.

In my sleep, i felt something moving on my body, it stop when it got to my ear and whispered something into my ear.

I opened my eyes immediately, locate the torchlight with my hand, and turned it on with a shivering hand

I saw a rat running into the little opening on the wall,

I noticed a book on the floor,

I picked it up, flung it open. A note was written on it, welcome home to the hostel of deád.

THE ORIGIN.

I opened the door as I sighted our head boy having s*x with our class prefect, I screamed as they did too before jolting off from each other.

"What the f**k Tony!!!!....." Albert yells as he turns to Amanda the class prefect " I thought you locked the door!" He snapped.

"I thought you locked it " she snaps back as she hooked her bra and went for her uniform.

"I'm.... I'm sorry....I didn't know this was happening" I apologized as I was about to leave when Albert ran towards me and grabbed me by the neck.

His grip was so tight that I couldn't even breathe properly, his eyes showed a range of pure anger and fury.

"Albert!!! What are you doing? You're going to kill him" Amanda snapped with anxiety.

"You f**king bastard, why the f**k do you keep pestering me around?....huh...." He asked exasperatedly.

"I..... I'm.... please" I groaned as I was losing my breathing slowly.

"Albert please let go of him he won't say anything please" Amanda pleaded.

"Oh really....how sure are you he won't go around telling everyone in school especially your mother, do you know what that is going to do to me?" He snapped as he threw me to the ground.

"He won't Albert, and even though he does no one would believe him. It's his words against yours" Amanda said.

I carried myself up on my feet as I sighted our gardener through the window clearing the grasses in the backyard. I screamed as I began to hit the window so as to get help.

"Hey!!!!..... uncle badmus!!" I screamed.

Immediately I felt a hard smash on my head as I fell to the ground, Albert pounced on me as he punched me countlessly till I bleed profusely.

"You f**king bastard!!!!!" He rants.

"Albert!!!!.....stop!!!... you'll kill him" Amanda cried.

Albert didn't stop punching, it was like he had made up his mind that he was going to kill me that evening. Amanda moved around looking for something to use to stop him, she grabbed an HDPE bottle used to store chemical solutions as she smashed it on Albert's head.

He bleed as he rose up feeling even more furious.

"Blood......" He said as he feels the blood gushing down his head as he rushes to Amanda and grabs her on the neck.

"Albert..... pl... please" Amanda cried.

Instantly she stabs him with the remaining bottle piece in her hand as he fell to the ground. Amanda goes close to him as she bursted out in tears.

I couldn't see clearly but I managed to crawl towards them as I saw Albert bleeding from the chest. His eyes were wide open with blood gushing out from his mouth. He was DEAD.

Amanda falls to the ground as she cried bitterly, she was trembling in fear and anxiety as sweats pours down from her body.

"Amanda.... Amanda" I crawled towards her to calm her down.

"I....I.....k**led...him, he's d**d....I killed Albert" she cried.

"Calm down Amanda, it was a mistake..... just calm down" I consoled.

"I'm in so much trouble tony, how am I supposed to calm down. I just ki**ed Albert....I..." She cried as she looks at the blood stains in her hands.

I looked back at Albert as I saw him still lying dead on the ground, I turned back at Amanda.

"I think I have a plan " I said to Amanda.

"What plan?" She asked.

Amanda quickly locked the door as we carried Albert's body to the chemical store at the laboratory as we locked him there.

We started cleaning the whole area filled with blood with bleach and napkins.

"Come on hurry!!!" I altered at Amanda seeing how she was still shaking while at it.

Immediately we heard a knock at the entrance door as we were shocked. Who could that be at that usual hour, school was closed and noone was around except the school gardener and securities.

We hastened our cleaning as we cleared the blood stain while the door was still been banged.

"We're screwed tony, they'll catch us" Amanda cried.

"Sshhh..... just Keep quiet and clean!!!" I altered.

The door broke open instantly as 3 people trooped in, it was the Gardener and two securities who were holding cutlass. We were already hidden under the lab table as we watched the movement of their legs.

"You sure say you hear something from this lab?" One of the security men asked.

"Yes I did, it was like someone was hitting something on a surface" the Gardener replied.

"But we can't find anyone here" the second security man altered.

"Mmm... what's that smell?" The first security man sniffs.

"It smells like bleach, someone was definitely here" the Gardener altered.

My heart skipped the moment I heard this as I looked at Amanda who was crying silently.

"Hey come see this..." The second security said as others rushed to him.

They saw broken bottles around as the Gardener picked it.

"What is this?" He asked.
