Understanding Computer Components: RAM, Sound Card, Graphics Card, Hard Drive, and Flash Drive

ANAMBRA STRENGTHENS PARTNERSHIP WITH NABTEB TO EXPAND SKILLS-BASED EDUCATION

Awka,9th June 2026(MOI)Anambra State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening technical and vocational education through enhanced collaboration with the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB).

The Commissioner for Education, Dr. Ekene Ogugua, gave the assurance on Tuesday,June 9, 2026 while receiving the Anambra State Coordinator of NABTEB, Mrs. Igbelina, and her team during a courtesy visit to his office at State Secretariat Complex,Awka

Dr. Ogugua stated that the Ministry of Education remains committed to partnerships that promote quality education, skills acquisition and human capital development, stressing that technical and vocational education plays a vital role in preparing young people for self-reliance and productivity.

The Commissioner assured the delegation of the Ministry's readiness to work closely with NABTEB in advancing educational development and creating greater opportunities for students across the state.

He noted that the Ministry is open to innovative initiatives and strategic collaborations that will improve learning outcomes and equip students with the practical skills required to thrive in today's evolving economy.

Earlier, the Anambra State Coordinator of NABTEB, Mrs.Obianuju Igbelina commended the Ministry's efforts in advancing education in the state and called for deeper collaboration in promoting the objectives of the examination body.

She observed that many students in the state are yet to fully access the opportunities offered by NABTEB due to inadequate awareness of its programmes and examinations.

According to her, NABTEB, as Nigeria's indigenous examination body for technical, vocational and business education, enjoys both national and international recognition and deserves wider patronage.

Mrs. Igbelina further explained that students in non-technical secondary schools who offer business-related subjects are also eligible to sit for NABTEB examinations, emphasizing the need for increased sensitisation among schools, students and parents.

She appealed for government support in creating greater awareness of the board's programmes and encouraging students in technical secondary schools to participate actively in NABTEB qualifying examinations,specially NABTEB qualifying examination for entrace to senior secondary classes.

The meeting provided an avenue for both institutions to explore areas of mutual cooperation aimed at expanding access to skills-based education and strengthening technical, vocational and business education in Anambra State.

Present at the visit were the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Dr Ifeoma Agbaizu, and the Director of Technical and Vocational Education, Mrs Ngozi Enemuo.
