PUBLIC NOTICE

My attention has been drawn to rumours and misinformation circulating within political circles that I, Comrade Stanley Oamen (CSO), have stepped down from the race for the Esan North East Constituency II Seat in the Edo State House of Assembly in favour of Mr. Thadeus Irabor.

I wish to categorically state that this information is false, misleading, and should be disregarded by the public, party faithful, supporters, and the good people of Uromi and Uzea.

For the purpose of clarity, I remain the duly elected winner of the primary election conducted for the Esan North East Constituency II ticket under the platform of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC). At no time have I withdrawn, stepped down, or relinquished my mandate to any individual.

I am in possession of credible evidence indicating that Mr. Thadeus Irabor paid for an Expression of Interest Form after the screening exercise had already been concluded, contrary to the electoral guidelines and procedures of our great party. Therefore, if any nomination form was subsequently issued to him, serious questions arise regarding the process through which such nomination was obtained.

As a comrade who has dedicated his life to the pursuit of justice, fairness, and due process, I will continue to pursue all lawful and constitutional avenues to protect the mandate freely given to me by party members. The ticket belongs to the winner of the primary election, and I remain committed to defending that mandate.

In furtherance of this commitment, I have formally submitted two petitions to the leadership of the NDC seeking clarification and redress on the issues raised. While I am yet to receive an official response, I remain hopeful that the party leadership will uphold justice, transparency, and the rule of law.

I therefore urge all supporters, stakeholders, and members of the public to remain calm, focused, and steadfast. Do not be distracted by rumours or propaganda intended to create confusion.

Together, let us keep hope alive while we await the leadership of our party to do the right thing in the interest of justice, democracy, and the people of Esan North East Constituency II.
