🌍 Empowering Young Climate Leaders in Bauchi State!

Community Advocate for Rural Development (CARD) is proud to support the implementation of the AfricaRe-UNICEF Climate Change Education Partnership in Bauchi State in collaboration with key government stakeholders and partners.

As part of the project rollout, CARD participated as a facilitator and implementation partner during the recently concluded 5-day Master Trainers Training on Climate Change Education and Youth Climate Action held at the Bauchi State Ministry of Environment Conference Hall.

The training equipped 21 Master Trainers with the knowledge and practical skills needed to cascade climate change education, green skills, and youth-led climate action across 7 LGAs in Bauchi State.

Through this initiative:

21 Master Trainers have been trained

Over 400 adolescents will be reached directly

Approximately 80,000 students across Bauchi State are expected to benefit through peer-to-peer learning and climate action activities

The project promotes climate literacy, environmental sustainability, school safety, green skills development, and community resilience through youth engagement and action.

CARD remains committed to working with UNICEF, Africa Reinsurance Corporation, SUBEB, the Ministry of Education and other stakeholders to empower children and adolescents with the knowledge and skills needed to drive climate action and build a sustainable future. 🌱♻️

Women are at the frontline of agriculture planting, harvesting, and feeding families. Yet when climate shocks hit, droughts, floods, unpredictable rainfall they are often the hardest hit.

But it doesn’t have to be this way.
When women farmers have equal access to land, water, resources, and decision-making, they can better adapt to climate change and the entire communities benefit.

So we ask again:
What challenges do women farmers face in your community?

Let’s start the conversation.
