*SECRETS TO SCORING 15 POINTS IN IJMB*.

I will be using this opportunity to explain what IJMB is, how it works, its importance and methods to come out with and excellent result.
Sharing from my personal experience, I believe it will be helpful to the person reading this post who is currently or intending to enroll in the programme.

IJMB is an A-LEVEL programme that qualifies students for direct entry with any choice of course into any university in Nigeria to begin as a 200-level student.

*GRADES INTERPRETATION:*
A - 5 Points
B - 4 Points
C - 3 Points
D - 2 Points
E - 1 Point
F - 0 Points

* HOW IT WORKS*
Taking Medicine as my course option
IJMB subject combinations are:
BIOLOGY - A
PHYSICS - A
CHEMISTRY - A
Making it a total of 15 points + 1 point
The cut-off point for Medicine in IJMB is 10 points

*THE APPROACH*
Chemistry
It is divided into three sections:
Paper 1 (Physical, General, and Inorganic Chemistry)
Exam duration --- 3hrs.
It is divided into sections A and B.
SECTION A --- 10 Questions (50 Marks)
SECTION B --- 6 Essay Questions to Answer 4 (100 Marks)
Making it a total of 150 Marks

Paper 2 (Organic Chemistry)
Exam duration --- 2hrs.
It is divided into sections A and B.
SECTION A --- 10 Questions (50 Marks)
SECTION B --- 4 Essay Questions to Answer 2 (50 Marks)
Making it a total of 100 Marks

Paper 3 (Practical Chemistry)
Exam duration --- 3hrs.
QUANTITATIVE ANALYSIS --- (50 Marks)
QUALITATIVE ANALYSIS --- (30 Marks)
Making it a total of 80 Marks

RESULT ANALYSIS:
TOTAL GRADING:
PAPER 1-------150 Marks
PAPER 2--------100 Marks
PAPER 3----------80 Marks
TOTAL = 330 Marks
EXAM = 80% (By multiplying 330 BY 0.2424)
SCHOOL ASSESSMENT MOCK/ PRE-MOCK= 20%
