Congratulations to Engineer Prince Nonso Nwankwo, who clinched the Inventor of the Year Award with his Multipurpose Solar-powered Mobile Booth at the 2022 National Innovation Workshop! Prince’s mini-grid solar energy station converts solar energy to electrical energy, using a portable house built with aluminium profiles and aluminum composite panel sheets. The design provides artisans and small and medium-scale businesses in Nigeria with a reliable, affordable, and clean power supply to power their workshops or businesses and maximize profit while protecting the environment. Prince was one of the 105 young West African leaders who attended a six-week YALI leadership and management training in Accra, Ghana in 2015.

The National Innovation Workshop, organized by the Senate Committee on Science and Technology, was held November 25 – 26, 2022, at the International Convention Centre, Awka, Anambra State, Nigeria. We congratulate all the contestants – you inspire Nigerian youth to reimagine innovative solutions to the country’s energy challenges!

We can RUN when we move towards a TARGET or away from potential DANGER.
We cannot RUN aimlessly.
