O' LORD our Father, as you advance Moses and Aaron, advance us forward in our career, health, business, spiritual lives, ministries, family, in the name of Jesus Christ!
Let me quick talk to us on a topic I titled; GOING FORWARD!
Our text is taken from;
Exodus 14:10–16.
10 And when Pharaoh drew near, the children of Israel lifted their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians marched after them. So they were very afraid, and the children of Israel cried out to the Lord. 11 Then they said to Moses, “Because there were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you so dealt with us, to bring us up out of Egypt? 12 Is this not the word that we told you in Egypt, saying, ‘Let us alone that we may serve the Egyptians’? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than that we should die in the wilderness.”
13 And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. 14 The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.”
15 And the Lord said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward. 16 But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.
I shall be taking brief emphasis from the sixteenth verse: "But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it."
Moses had a rod and the rod became no ordinary one when the power of God Almighty came into it.
Let's see what Micah 6:9 says: The LORD’S voice crieth unto the city and [the man of] wisdom shall see thy name: hear ye the rod, and who hath appointed it.
When the voice of the LORD is upon a thing or person, such becomes an authority. If you can take swift look at your immediate environment, the traditional rulers from the Igbo land have what is called Ofor. This symbolizes authority, that they command recognition and all. And so in Yoruba land there is what is called Opa Ase. Once the Opa Ase get missing, the king becomes restless that he will charge men to go as far as losing their lives at the cost of searching to restore the Opa Ase to the palace.
All these simply means, the authority given to one just like the rod of Moses is meant to break boundaries just like the dividing of the red sea and to swallow up any threats just like the rod of Moses swallowed up serpents and many others, provided you have your rod intact.
The question now is; do you actually have your rod with you or technology has taken it from you? Make sure you get your personal rod (Holy Bible) because it carries the voice of the LORD ALMIGHTY.
You can boldly come up to raise your rod to face any situation.
Psalm 27:4 – One thing I have desired of the Lord,
That will I seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord
All the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the Lord,
And to inquire in His temple. (NIV)
You must desire to seek after; dwelling in the house of the LORD all the days of your life and not part-time, acknowledge the works of the Lord at all time and don't be afraid of troubles around. That is why you have your rod.
1 Samuel 12:6 – Then Samuel said to the people, “It is the Lord who raised up Moses and Aaron, and who brought your fathers up from the land of Egypt.
Deuteronomy 2:3 – ‘You have skirted this mountain long enough; turn northward.
YOU WILL PRAY:
Father, we are tired of the level we are, O' LORD move us forward in the name of Jesus Christ.
Father, turn around my captivity in the name of Jesus.
Father, cause me to move forward in my career/ministry/marriage/business/health/finance/spiritual live, in the name of Jesus.
Heavenly Father, cause me and my household to move forward in life, my wife/husband, children, my parents, siblings, neighbors, colleagues, associates, partners, our nation, RCCG members all over the world, Life Gate Parish members and every of your children across the world, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ!
Thank you father.
May the blessings of God Almighty continue to be with you all.
