A life was lost in broad daylight while begging for mercy, pleading for a chance to speak, confess, and live. No human being deserves to die without justice, no matter the accusation against them.

The duty of law enforcement is to protect lives, uphold justice, and ensure that every suspect is given fair treatment under the law. When a suspect is killed publicly while pleading for his life, it raises painful questions about accountability, abuse of power, and the value placed on human life in our society.

Justice is not revenge. Justice is discipline, process, evidence, and lawful judgment. The moment people lose trust in those meant to protect them, fear begins to replace peace.

Nigeria deserves a system where citizens feel safe, where suspects are investigated and prosecuted legally, not executed emotionally or violently in public spaces. No confession should end with death before due process.

We must continue to speak against brutality, unlawful killings, and every form of abuse of authority. Human life is precious, and justice must never be silenced by the sound of a gun.
