DO THE THINGS YOU TELL OTHERS TO DO IN 2024

A woman walks with her son many miles to see Gandhi. She is worried her son is eating too much sugar. She asks Gandhi: 'Please, sir, can you tell my son to stop eating sugar?'

Gandhi says, 'Bring him back in two weeks.' Disappointed, she takes her son home.

Two weeks later she makes the long journey again. Gandhi says to the boy, 'You must stop eating sugar. It’s very bad for you.' The boy has such respect for Gandhi that he stops and lives a healthy life.

The woman is confused and asks, 'Why did you want me to wait two weeks to bring back my son?'

Gandhi said, 'Because before I could tell your son to stop eating sugar, I had to stop eating sugar first.'

One of the problems of humankind is giving advice and counsel about things that haven't yet formed life in them.

I know the place of speaking by utterance. I also know the place of speaking from Life. With utterance, we get people blessed, and we never become that blessing.

Every time people sit with you, they receive counsel, but you seem confused about little areas of your life.

I know the path of having a covering over your head, the path where your covering becomes God's mouthpiece to you. This is very fine, but you are missing the whole thing.

Most things your covering tells you to do, check it; he's a practitioner of it. It is now a life!

We will continue to be deliverers, but yet our lives are never like deliverance because 'we don't do the things we tell people to do.'

The same you that told someone to read three books on finance never finishes just one book.

You fix men on a prayer marathon but never have you tarried long. You tell men to give sacrificially, but you've never given your little.

The list goes on. If we must rise, then we should operate from Life. You can remove specks from people's eyes even with a log in yours.

Have you helped people by the break out from addiction and you're still in the pool of it?. People stopped by your words but you have never stopped.

If we truly must do well, then we should be our first audience; we should be first practitioners.

Your life will be better if you do what you tell others to do.

YOU SHOULD TRY AVOID THIS AS A MINISTER

We might inadvertently engage in generalizations regarding the essence of ministry based on the specific call God has placed on our lives.

For instance, if your calling revolves around establishing apostolic foundations, you may perceive other pastors not aligned with your kind of ministry as motivational preachers.

This extends to the exercise of spiritual gifts. Frequently, the prophetic can become a spectacle, with individuals asserting that its purpose transcends mere the calling of details but involves revealing the mind of God.

So, those who delve into intricate details in the prophetic are sometimes viewed as jamborees. While it's acknowledged that the prophetic isn't exclusively about details, it certainly encompasses various facets, including specificity(details)

When we find ourselves defining ministry beyond the biblical context, we risk elevating our callings disproportionately.

You're not the only prophet or Apostle in Nigeria; neither are you the sole evangelist God is raising.

It's imperative to define the context of our ministry within the broader spectrum of the comprehensive nature of ministry.

While your calling may be to cultivate theological depth in individuals, another's calling might be to provide solutions to life's challenges.

It's essential to recognize that even as a theologian, one can grapple with depression. This underscores the need for guidance on navigating life's complexities. Labeling someone a motivational speaker for addressing issues like depression and inferiority complex is a misconception.

There are multiple avenues where individuals can encounter God. Until eternity, God will continue to raise individuals.

Although men of disorder have emerged, we cannot deny that some of them are called and anointed. Yet this disorderly attitude , paints almost all of us black to those outside the camp of the twice born. It's a lamentable situation!

Strength in the Lord is defined by God in His unique context.

What God is accomplishing in your sphere, He is achieving through another in a different domain. Apologies, God doesn't always need to explicitly communicate this, but rest assured, God is raising men.

In the interim, tend to your spiritual garden! Colonize it. Wholeheartedly fulfill what the Lord has entrusted to you. The Lord is our ultimate reward.
