Each time I finish cooking, salt will be on one side of the food, pepper and Maggi will hide at different locations.
Awkward!
I watched my mom prepare this same food several times, but it seems her hands have been baptized in cooking.
I'm getting pi**ed off.
I have tried several times, but it is not blending at all.
That was what I went through as a child, eager to learn how to cook.
At some point, When mom leaves for work, she will ask my neighbour to observe me while I cook to ensure that I was doing it correctly.
I kept on trying to get it, but the same result kept repeating.
That fateful night, my mom got so angry after I dished out dinner.
She didn't take it lightly with me.
Her usual petting and little hyping and praises all disappeared.
She confronted me to know why I was still stuck on a particular meal for a long time.
I felt bad that day but that didn't make me crawl back to my old self.
Of course, with an African mom beside you, you dare not 😂
I told myself that the petting phase, those hyping, my innocence, and being scared had come to an end.
I'm a female and will be a mom soon.
I have to learn this well and perfect it.
That was how I became more intentional, and now I cook delicious meals with one eye closed ☺️
What is the lesson here?
🛑 Sometimes you might have an external body or a reason that keeps pushing you to be successful.
🛑. Even if you don't have anyone clapping and motivating you, you just have to do it for your good.
The most important thing is that you get better each day.
