A life without challenges is a life without a purpose, we live in a life of worries, facing different challenges and obstacles but what make us a champion is the ability to find solutions and solve the problems in any situation we find ourselves.
Su***de is not the option no matter what we are facing, every problem has a solution and every solution is meant for a problem but it is left to us to find the solution to the problem.
Su***de is the permanent solution to a temporary problem, so avoid it! Problem is just for a short period of time but su***de is for life, it's a termination of God's plan for your life.
Just believe in yourself that you can do it, you can overcome the challenges you are facing right now, you are not a failure, you are not a coward.
Stand up facing the challenges and find solutions to it and become a champion. What does not kill will only make one stronger.
Embrace yourself, you are not a quitter!

According to World Health Organization(WHO), every 40 seconds, we lose a precious soul to su***de. This is heart rendering. It is more painful to know that these things are happening around us and many people don’t even know about it.

As a way to reduce, and if possible, stop the number of people being taken to the other side of the world by the cold hands of su***de. Every 10th of September, as endorsed by WHO, The International Association for Su***de Prevention (IASP) organizes events that focuses on creating awareness for preventing su***de.

This year’s theme of World Su***de Prevention Day is “Creating Hope Through Action”. The theme focuses on building the capacity of mental healthcare providers and educating the public especially relevant actors on how su***de can be prevented by taking necessary action.

Also, the day is geared towards encouraging those who have been contemplating su***de to share their stories with someone they trust and seek professional help.

To be sincere, the COVID -19 pandemic and turbulence the world went through in the year 2020 made people more susceptible to anxiety, depression and su***de. Many people lost their jobs, loved ones, suffered online abuse and as such are struggling with their mental health.

The road to su***de starts with an unhealthy mental health, a major reason why this year's theme focus on taking actions to reach out to people around us who seems to be showing signs of mental health challenges.

Some of these signs are long lasting sadness, excessive paranoia, isolation from social life, rapid mood swing, abusive behavior to close ones or self and lack of interest in performing simple daily tasks such as bathing.

Su***de starts with the signs earlier listed, when you notice them in someone close to you: stay with them, listen to what they have to say without passing judgment, and encourage them to get professional advice. Take action!

To you out there, thinking about ending it all. Su***de is never an option. You are not alone, there is hope. What you are going through presently, many people have gone through it and they overcame. You will overcome too. Reach out to someone, check professional help.
