Day four of our Hands-on Molecular Biology Training 🧬
The day began with a wonderful presentation on polymerase chain reaction (PCR) led by Florence Farinola-Udofia PhD, providing participants with an understanding of PCR principles and applications.

Following the lecture, everyone eagerly jumped into the hands-on practical session of PCR.

Afterward, Agre Paterne introduced participants to bioinformatics, discussing its applications, common programming languages used in bioinformatics, and other relevant topics. This session provided insight into the computational aspects of molecular biology research.

Iwu Victoria (IITA) IWU also led a DNA sequencing session, guiding participants through the process and explaining the importance of this technique in molecular biology research.

To wrap up the day on a high note, we organized a tour to visit the Genetic Resource Center, Nodumax, and the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) dam. It was the perfect blend of learning and relaxation, giving everyone a chance to unwind.
