...impacting lives positively
They say girls aren't naturally drawn to tech. They say it takes a special kind of person.
But what if the issue was never the girls? What if it was the access?
Half of Nigeria's innovation is sitting in classrooms right now. Not waiting for permission. Not waiting to be "smart enough." Just waiting for access.
The earlier we equip young people with digital skills, the earlier we unlock potential we didn't even know existed.
Digital literacy isn't a privilege, it's a foundation. And the sooner we start, the sooner everything changes.
This isn't about the future. It's about now.

Tech isn't just for “smart” people. It’s for people brave enough to try.
Meet Busola; she’s proof 💯
In Nigeria, 1 in 3 girls never pursue tech because they believe it’s “not for them.”
Busola believed that too… until she learned otherwise.
Your myths do not have to become your story, and they certainly should not become the story of any girl child 📍

When girls get equitable access to STEM education, they lead.
The barriers are real. But so is the solution.
At The Sapphires Development Initiative, we're breaking down gender stereotypes in STEM education for rural girls in Nigeria.

“Imagine writing a letter across time to the person you once were…"
That’s exactly what happened in our most recent tribemeet themed: "Women in Leadership: Beyond the Glass Ceiling."
Different tribemates with varying experiences reflected and opened up to their younger selves.✨
Watch five amazing tribemates share their heartfelt letters.
From their quiet reflections on words about navigating uncertainty, finding courage, breaking invisible barriers, to possessing grit and tenacity, we realize one thing: *the guidance, belief, and support we needed back then… we are quietly becoming for others today.*
Tag someone whose younger self, or present self needs this reminder ❤️
