A Message to Nigerian Professionals: When It's Time to Move On

You know that client?

The one giving you headache upon headache...

The one that's always finding fault with everything you do.

Today it's "this isn't what we agreed,"

Tomorrow it's "but you should have known what I wanted."

Meanwhile, you've been working overtime, skipping weekend owambe, and even missing family functions just to meet their overwhelming demands.

See ehn, if you're:
- Adding extra features without charging kobo
- Taking their midnight calls like you're their personal emergency service provider
- Doing "rush work" that they won't even appreciate
- Managing their wahala more than focusing on your own personal and career growth

And still, they're:
- Pricing you like you're selling pure water (sachet water)
- Acting like they're doing you a favor
- Making you feel like your MSc and years of experience mean nothing.

My brother/sister, it's time to free yourself.

Let me tell you something – good clients dey plenty for this Nigeria.

The ones that:
- Respect your craft like they respect Dangote's business sense
- Pay your worth without telling you "manage this first"
- Value your expertise like hot amala on a rainy day

No jokes – for every client wey dey stress you, ten better ones dey find serious professionals like you.

You just have to:

Keep showing up strong daily...
Keep putting your best foot forward...

And if somebody is making you:

- Question whether your skills are legit
- Feel like you're not doing enough
- Think say na curse to charge your real price

Abeg, pack your load and move!

Channel that energy towards people who know say better soup na money kill am. Focus on those who understand that quality work deserves quality pay.

Because you deserve clients who:
- No go price you like tomatoes for market
- Respect your time like British Airways flight schedule
- Value your work like cold zobo on a hot Abuja afternoon

And that client wey think say them wise pass?

The one wey dey go with their chest high?

Na them go loss pass. Because good talent no dey grow for tree for Nigeria or anywhere.

Remember say: "No be who first start the race dey win." Focus on building quality relationships with clients who recognize your worth and on the long run you will win...
