A family of lions makes a "pride." Thy family; thy pride. The pride, we carry inside. We know where our ancestors had been, and the crowd of footsteps that laid down our path. Hence we're proud; we play our part.

But ages ago, our Afrikan heritage was stolen by savages. They told my people, "thy culture is old, ours is the future. You must adopt our structures."

They gave us a new faith; one that would seal our fate. Here be thy saviour, Jesus… But Christianity was all a ploy to destroy our unity. This would be the scissors to tear us apart.

They gave us a new language to disengage us from our past; from our pride. "Thy people were barbarians, and thy slavery is only meant to save thee. Follow our way of life now, or forever be astray in your strife", they preached in church; and teached in schools.

Soon our pride inside died. We worshipped the "white" man and his lies. We became like tree a severed from its root; until all was not but rot. We became fools, who had no views of their own how the world works; who had no clue.

We hated our past, and we cast it far from our houses and hearts. We replaced our Zion with their Babylon.

None but ourselves can free our minds. Our heritage, we must find. And once again bind it to our hearts. Until our family becomes our pride; our ride or die.

When you discover your talent, you must use it. Like in the parable of the talents in the gospels, it would ultimately serve you no good to bury your talents. For if at the end of your life, the Master does come to find you with your talents buried, he takes it away and grants it to those who have put to work theirs judiciously.

The more you utilize your talents, you'll come to find more and more.

Our talents are gifts from our previous lives. Unfortunately, it is a shame that most people never even discover where theirs is hidden, to even begin to open it up.

Where are your talents hidden? They're hidden in the things you love to do; the things you're willing to spend time to learn about; the things you're willing to bear the monotony of practice for. This is where you find your talents. And only with your talents do you make clear your life's vision and journey.

If you do not utilize your talents for your goals, you'll always be miserable. You'll hardly find fulfillment.

So to make the rest of your life the best of your life, you must find yourself and what it is that comes to you easily. When you find them, you must put them to judicious use. You must gift the rest of the world with your gifts.

It is believed by the Dharmic faiths that our current life is as a consequence of our previous lives. There's always a new lesson learnt with each lifetime; there's a truth in each life that we are meant to explore.

The difficulty I believe is in "remembering" your truth and the lessons learnt in previous lifetimes. When you do find your truth, your passion... You must live it. It is always the Truth, then the Light sparks in your mind that illuminates the Way.
