In Islam the night starts at sunset and ends at the dawn of fajr.
If you are also finding it hard to work the odd nights just know the night precedes the day of Ramadan and the night that follows this day would be the 23rd night.

Ramadan 1446 - Day 21:

The last ten nights of Ramadan contains a night described by Allah as being greater than 1,000 months. Observing I'tikaf in the last 10 days of Ramadan with hope of experiencing this night and it's virtues is highly recommended.
