For the longest time, I hesitated to put myself out there in the social media, at least consistently. I thought, “Who will care about my thoughts?” or “Do I really have the time to build my personal brand?” But I’ve learned that by not taking action, I was unknowingly holding myself back.

A few days ago, I decided to take a leap and start posting more intentionally about my work and passions. To my surprise, the feedback was immediate—and eye-opening. People reached out, asking if I was still within the shores of Nigeria and practicing law amidst my academic appointment/community engagements or even congratulating me for stepping forward. It reminded me of one thing, you never know who’s watching and how your voice could resonate with them.

We often wait for the “perfect time” to start, but the truth is, the perfect time is now. By delaying action, we risk missing opportunities that could change the trajectory of our careers, relationships, and lives.

This year, I’ve resolved to take bold, consistent action—not just in building my personal brand but in other areas where hesitation has held me back. Because action creates momentum, and momentum leads to growth.
