This day reminds us of the importance of truth, especially in the face of serious human rights abuses. Families of victims deserve to know what happened to their loved ones—whether it's about disappearances, executions, or other injustices. Understanding the full story, including who was involved and why, is crucial for healing and justice. As UN Secretary-General António Guterres said, truth is a powerful force that empowers and heals, guiding us towards a better future.
