We proudly concluded the month of February with a successful 5-day Training of 25 Trainers on Village Savings and Loan Association (VSLA), held from February 24–28, 2026 in Katsina State, Northwestern Nigeria.

This strategic initiative is part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen the resilience of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and vulnerable households within host communities, by building local capacity for sustainable financial inclusion and community-led support systems.

This project is funded by BMZ through and implemented by HANDS. We sincerely acknowledge their commitment to empowering communities and driving impactful, sustainable change.

Ending river blindness requires awareness, access, and action. With support from Reaching the Last Mile, Sightsavers works alongside local partner Health And Development Support Programme (HANDS) to protect communities and accelerate progress toward eliminating onchocerciasis worldwide.
